About me

I am Kim Justin V. Siangchin, a former customer service representative for more than 2 years in the BPO industry. After resigning from my previous job, my love for sneakers and video editing inspired me to help start a small online sneaker business with a close friend. At present, I am currently working as a Freelancer/Virtual assistant with the goal of further improving my skills as a professional with the comfort of working-from-home.

Customer Service Representative

Served as a customer service representative for Virgin Telecommunications Inc. for nearly 2 years in Quantrics Enterprise Inc., gradually learning how to become efficient in encoding data, how to assist customers with billing problems, how to properly utilize Google Workspace, how to manage calendar activities, and how to further improve my English communication skills. Due to the nature of the job, it eventually gave me comfort in working on a different timezone.

Social Media Manager

After resigning from my previous job and months of conceptualizing and planning, my friend and I started a small online sneaker business named “SHOETAKU”, with the goal of providing affordable quality sneakers to the general public. SHOETAKU was launched on March 13, 2023.

Due to the heavily saturated market in the Philippines, we had to find ways to stand out from the competition, which introduced me to various skills such as social media management, SEO utilization, video editing, photo editing, content creation, simple website creation via Weebly/Squarespace, and marketing. At present, SHOETAKU reached 1,180 followers as of February 2024.

Sales Representative

Since I already have a background in sales because of SHOETAKU, I decided to utilize that experience to work as an agent for Quantrics Enterprise once again. This time, I served as a sales representative for Bell Canada for nearly 5 months in Quantrics Enterprise Inc., learning the ropes of properly selling products, upselling services to customers, and negotiating with clients. In addition, this experience allowed me to be more proficient in multi-tasking skills while working under pressure.

Virtual Assistant

Since SHOETAKU only served as a side hustle, I aimed to have a part-time job to at least have a decent income. From there, I decided to venture toward the freelance industry, eventually becoming a Virtual Assistant for a small company via Upwork. I was responsible for various data entry and lead generation tasks, on top of calendar management and data scraping responsibilities.

I also worked for a virtual assistance agency based in Naga city, serving a start-up company based in Australia. Luckily, I was able to enhance and further use my skills in social media management, content creation, and research during my stay in the company.
